I am sure you are wondering why we don't have any native lobsters in stock at the moment, given that it's summer and they are in season. It's down to one thing; the weather.
We get our native lobsters from the East Coast from Essex up to Northumberland and although the sun has been out and it's been beautiful we have been having some really strong winds. The wind not only prevents the lobster boats from going out as there's an increased chance that they will loose their pots, it also puts the lobster off, they tend to hide in their burrows when the sea is rough.
The good news is that the winds are forecast to drop and the catches will be coming in. We will have native lobsters back in stock very soon, but in the meantime we have all sizes of Canadian lobsters in the tanks ready to cook for you.
